Historical Tour of Old Havana
- After breakfast, tour the Historical Center of Old Havana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit the main plazas (squares): Plaza Vieja, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, Plaza de Armas and Plaza de la Catedral. Enjoy a coffee tasting at El Escorial and visit the Engraving Workshop “La Catedral” and the studio of painter Nelson Dominguez. You will have the opportunity to meet some artists and learn about their projects.
- Lunch at a private restaurante in La Habana Vieja (Old Havana).
- Enjoy a scenic drive that will take you around the National Capitol (monumental work of the Twentieth Century and former home of the legislature in Cuba before 1959), the Grand Theater of Havana (a baroque architectural wonder that serves as the main house for the world-famous Cuban National Ballet), Parque Central, the Central Park and the Paseo del Prado (first walk outside the walls of the old city, which opened in the late eighteenth century and it is considered to be a true Cuban architectural jewel).
Optional night, Tropicana Cabaret with dinner– not included in the package.
Tropicana is a world-known Cabaret, the most spectacular of the cabarets to open sky. It’s a unique place to enjoy the music and the Cuban folklore in all their color, musicality and rhythm, an art extravaganza to multiply the Cuban happiness of a true tropical night. Marlon Brando, Ernest Hemingway, Rita Hayworth, and J.F.K., to name a few, frequently visited this famous place. After the show the dancers engage with the audience members and invite them to the stage for dancing.
