Flight to Havana

  • Arrival at Jose Marti International Airport in Havana.
  • Welcome by a Representative of Vemares and pick up at the airport. From the airport, you will go on a panoramic tour of Modern Havana with a stop at Plaza de la Revolución (Revolution Square) where you can take pictures. Here, you will see the Monument to José Martí, one of the most important figures of Cuban history and leader in the independence war against Spain. You will also pass the historic University of Havana, the Hilton Hotel and the American Embassy.
  • Lunch at a private restaurant (Paladar) where you will learn about this new form of private business in Cuba.
  • After lunch transfer to the private house.
  • Optional night: El Cañonazo Ceremony – not included in the program price.
    The Tour will take you to the sea-side avenue of Malecón. You will drive through the tunnel under the bay. You will contemplate the Castle of the Three Kings of El Morro, a complex of fortresses dominating the entrance to the Havana bay. Here you will see the recreation of the traditional 9:00 PM cannon shot ceremony, used in the colonial times as a sign for approaching vessels that a chain closed the entrance of the bay for the night, and that the city wall gates were also closed to protect Havana from pirate attacks. Before the ceremony you will have time to visit some small museums at the fortress.Includes transfers and specialized guides – Appx. 3 hours

Historical Tour of Old Havana

  • After breakfast, tour the Historical Center of Old Havana, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO (1982). Visit the main plazas (squares):
    • Plaza de la Catedral (Cathedral Square), dominated by the Baroque facade of the Cathedral of Havana.
    • Plaza de Armas, where you will find Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, the house of the Spanish governors in the colonial era.
    • Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, a paved space with fluttering pigeons, framed by historic buildings such as the Convent and the Church of St. Francis of Assis, in which the tower was for centuries the highest point in the Villa.
    • Plaza Vieja, originally known as Plaza Nueva. It was first used for military exercises, then became an open-air market, and it is now dotted with restaurants, cafes, bars and brasseries.
  • Enjoy a coffee tasting at El Escorial and a visit to the Engraving Workshop “La Catedral” and the studio of painter Nelson Dominguez. You may meet the famous painter and other artists, and learn about his project.
  • You will have lunch at a private restaurant.
  • Enjoy a scenic drive that will take you around the National Capitol (monumental work of the Twentieth Century and former home of the legislature in Cuba before 1959), the Grand Theater of Havana (a baroque architectural wonder that serves as the main house for the world-famous Cuban National Ballet), Parque Central, the Central Park and the Paseo del Prado (first walk outside the walls of the old city, which opened in the late eighteenth century and it is considered to be a true Cuban architectural jewel).
  • Optional night, Tropicana Cabaret with dinner – not included in the package. Tropicana is a world-known Cabaret, the most spectacular of the cabarets to open sky.  It’s a unique place to enjoy the music and the Cuban folklore in all their color, musicality and rhythm, an art extravaganza to multiply the Cuban happiness of a true tropical night. Marlon Brando, Ernest Hemingway, Rita Hayworth, and J.F.K., to name a few, frequently visited this famous place. After the show the dancers engage with the audience members and invite them to the stage for dancing.

Natural Park Las Terrazas / Soroa.

  • After breakfast depart to Soroa, located 52 miles from Havana. Visit the Orchid garden, where more than 300 varieties of orchids can be seen and the popular Soroa’s Waterfall. Here you can refresh yourself in a natural swimming pool.
  • Enjoy a typical Cuban lunch at “Casa del campesino” Restaurant.
  • After lunch you will visit “El Cafetal Buenavista“, house museum, former coffee plantation from the beginning of the 19th century.
  • Then you will visit Las Terrazas, a small community and Nature Reserve in the municipality of Candelaria, which was designated a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Enjoy a swim in the refreshing waters of the San Juan river.
  • You can do Zip line or boat trips – not included in the program price
  • Return to Havana.

  • After breakfast, Transfer to Varadero Beach.
  • During the transfer to Varadero, stop at the Bacunayagua Bridge, where you will taste an exquisite Piña Colada cocktail.

  • Pick up at the Hotel and transfer to the Marina.
  • Sail on a luxury catamaran.
  • Interactive swimming with dolphins, snorkeling in the most beautiful northern central region of Cuba’s coral reef. Open bar with beer, soft drinks, Cuban cocktails and snacks on Marina.
  • Transfer Marina-Hotel. Experience the beauty of the turquoise waters surrounding the Varadero’s peninsula and the pearly-white sand and virgin beach of Cayo Blanco

Bay of Pig Tour

  • Early in the morning after breakfast, transfer to Bay of Pig.
  • Take a transfer to Guama Touristic Center in The Province of Matanzas, you will travel 70 miles (appx. 1:45 hours). Once you get to Guama take a tour by motor boat across Laguna del Tesoro (Treasure Lake) and Hatiguanico river. Visit the touristic farm “Fiesta Campesina” and the Crocodile breeding Center to contemplate these fierce animals in their natural habitat and also the Aldea Taina, a replica of a Cuban native’s settlement. (Included in the Program).

Instead of visiting The Guama Touristic Center you may choose to do one of the 2 alternative options that are not included in the basic price of the program, a supplement must be paid.
Optional # 1 – Scuba Diving (not included in the program price).

Take a transfer to Diving Center “Octopus” in Playa Larga, you will travel 60 miles (appx. 1:30 hours).

    • Together with the diving specialist in the area, you will do one dive and you will be able to appreciate the beauty of the underwater world and the transparency of the water in the area.

Optional # 2 – Bird watching (not included in the program price).

You will be transferred directly to “La Salina” – One of the most beautiful places in the area, for bird watching and nature lovers, you will travel 80 miles (appx. 2:00 hours).

    • Together with a specialized guide, you will visit this protected and well-preserved place. During the tour, which takes approximately 3 hours, you will observe endemic and endangered birds, such as “Gallinuela de Santo Tomas” and Hummingbird, as well as iguanas, flamingos and others.
  • Then you will arrive at Caleta Buena, where you will have lunch and time to rest, then continue towards Cienfuegos. At Caleta Buena you can take a swim and do snorkel in the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy a delicious typical Cuban lunch. Open Bar at the beach. (Included in the Program).
  • 4:00 pm Continue transfer to Cienfuegos City, 55 miles (appx.1:30 hours).
  • Check in at the private house in Cienfuegos.

Cienfuegos City Tour


Cienfuegos has one of the best bays in the world, due to its size, depth and security. This city is considered an architectural jewel of great French influence, with remarkable heritage buildings. It exhibits a preserved historic center declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

  • After breakfast, you will enjoy a city tour of the center of Cienfuegos and you will learn about the architecture and history of the most important sites.
  • After lunch, transfer to Trinidad.
  • Accommodation at a private house.
  • Free night.

Trinidad City Tour

Trinidad is a colonial relic declared World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. The unique colonial architecture, cobblestone streets, colorful houses and friendly people make of Trinidad “A Must”.

  • After breakfast, you will do the City Tour, where you will appreciate the splendorous architecture of centuries ago. You will learn about that period in Cuba visiting some museums, such as the Romantic Museum.
  • Then you will visit the potters of the town, you will talk to them about their incredible work and the daily difficulties for their cultural and artistic realization.
  • Lunch on your own at a private restaurant, where you will learn about the development of private business in Cuba by talking with the staff and owners of the restaurant.
  • After lunch, you will visit the Valley of the Sugar Mills, located about 20 miles from Trinidad.

The Valley of the Mills, located in the Province of Sancti Spíritus in central Cuba, is an extensive triangular plain that covers about 100 square miles and includes in its interior the valleys of San Luis, Agabama-Méyer and Santa Rosa. Together with the city of Trinidad, it was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1988.
Fostering one of the largest sugar regions of the time, the Creole aristocracy, which was dedicated to the sugar industry on a large scale, was settled in the valley from the 17th to the 19th century.
